SAP SuccessFactors 2H Release: The Most Important Enhancements and Innovations

SAP SuccessFactors' 2H 2022 release is out! And if you ask us, this update comes with some new, cool updates. 1. Onboarding

Rehire with Old Employment Now Generally Available

Rehire with Old Employment has been enhanced and is now generally available to all customers

When rehiring former employees based on their previous employment, customized hiring processes can be accommodated, such as seasonal hiring, while ensuring continuity of employment and training records from the previous employment.

Previously this functionality was not available, you need to perform a number of Configuration settings and Permission updates to enable this feature.

2. Global Benefits

Replacement of Benefits Auto Enrolment Job with New Tracker-Based Job

An important reminder to migrate the auto enrolment for Benefits using the two new jobs based on Benefit Master Data changes and Employee Master Data changes.

In the next 1H 2023, the current auto enrolment job will be deleted. Plan the steps to determine next job run date for enrolments using the New tracker-based job.

Remember this new approach helps on the performance to process the enrolments dividing the updates derived on changes in the benefit plans, for example the rates; and updates or creation the benefits derived on changes on eligibility or personal data, for example a new dependent.

3. Recruiting (RCM)

Enhanced Search Functionality for Redesigned Applicant Workbench

The redesigned Recruiting Applicant Workbench provides an improved user experience for searching, filtering and displaying applicants.

You can now filter the applicants using:

  • Background elements
  • Applicant First Name and Last Name
  • Keyword Search in resume or cover letter
  • Picklist items, such as Country

* This feature is only available for customers who have joined Early Adopter Care (EAC) Program for Recruiting. But it will be available for general use in a subsequent release.

4. Succession & Development

Additional Fields in Succession
Org Chart Nodes and Position Tiles

With the MDF position-based nomination method, you can now add Job Title, Job Level, and Department to the headers of Succession Org Chart nodes and position tiles and customize the order in which the fields are displayed.

With the additional fields displayed, you can now differentiate between different positions if they have the same title.

This option is only available if in the Configure Object Definitions page of the Position object, The Visibility of the intended fields is Editable or Read Only and the Status of the intended fields is Active.
